Cy / Throttleman Debbie / Team Manager
Cy and Debbie Mugford originally from Massachusetts now reside in Florida and have three boys. Cy raced his Pro Stock Hemi Barracuda and Road Runner at the New England Dragway in Epping, N.H. Having the "Need for Speed" he has always had fast cars and boats. Cy has been around boats for almost 30 years, his last boat was a 35' Fountain with twin 496 HO's and was fast. Years of attending offshore powerboat races and dreaming of one day owning one has brought him where he is today, the Zipp Express. Debbie who shares a love of speed and offshore racing is the team manager for Zipp Express. Cy as throttleman will undoubtedly unleash the power and speed of Zipp Express on the competition.

I was born and raised in St Louis Mo. My boating addiction started at a young age, with water skiing and weekend family outings to the local lakes, I bought my first boat when I was 18, a 20 foot Bayliner!! I took it straight to the Lake of the Ozarks, and realized that wasn't going to be enough!!! So the search was on for something fast!!! I finally found a 31 foot cat with 525sc. So I traded my 68 Corvette for it. That's what started it all!!!! I got my first taste of 100 mph on the water... After that I moved to the Lake of the Ozarks. Then I opened an auto and marine repair center, from then on it was nothing but boats every day. I have driven everything from 63 foot yachts to 40 foot skaters and everything in between. Racing has always been a dream.
